OS X 10.11 El Capitan Qualification for 11R?

Avid announced their official okey doke for OS X 10.11 El Capitan for Pro Tools and it looks like my 003 R is officially supported but NOT my 11R??? OS-X-10-11-El-Capitan-support-for-Media-Composer-Pro-Tools-Sibelius-EUCON-and-ISIS

Has anyone upgraded to El Capitan that had a working system with 11R?

What are the issues?

There have been a few on this forum that have upgraded to El Capitan and all have had issues with the 11R.

The problems they report are consistent with what Avid posted in the KB:

• No Audio Output
• Noisy Audio Input

It's best to wait for a new driver before upgrading.

Yes, I plan to wait. I just could not ascertain, however, from what I have read here whether those were issues that arose to a working system after the OS upgrade, or whether they were attributed to something else ie: something amiss when upgrading to PT 12.3, hardware issues, etc.

FWIW, I have had ZERO issues with PT 12.3, my 003R+, and the 11R under Yosemite, and really have no compelling reason to upgrade the OS, other than it is there. And being a recent Windows defector, Yosemite is the only thing I have to compare.

It seems to be across the board; new install, upgrade... the driver just does not work with El Captian. Initially there were a lot of interfaces from different manufacturers that had issues, but that list is slowly decreasing. I'm sure Avid has something in the works for us 11 owners.

Ok, so, I have an 11R, Pro Tools 12.3 on El Capitan. My 11R is still not recognized by El Capitan. The drivers download page said "Updated 11/11/2015" hours ago and it says June 30 2015 now. But, when I connect my 11R PT has the 11R window on top. So it knows it's connected but it won't recognize it as an interface. Will 11R Mk2 fix anything? Or is it just the 11 plugin with a couple of extra cabs and amps?

And one more thing, is Avid still going to release driver for the 11R so that it may be used as interface in El Capitan?

I've been checking the drivers page EVERY DAY! It says it was last updated on 11/10/2015 but I don't see any new drivers there. It's become nuisance. I can't imagine what the process of making this driver is like. Is it really hard, easy? Who knows. Maybe there's a programmer within our midst that could shine some light into how hard is it to update a driver.

Don't hold your breath.

I wouldn't think updating the 11R driver is a "big deal" - I'd guess it would be only a bit more than re-compiling with updated libraries and some QC but what do I know?

Just checked the driver page and it now says updated 11/17/2015 but no changes that I could see.

Why would they keep changing the date and not add anything new?

Is it just to mess with us?

Maybe we just don't matter anymore.

And maybe it's time to buy the Universal Audio Twin Duo.
