Default Problem: PT v.5/os9 with Logic v.6/osX

I am interested if anyone else has seen this problem. I have two independent G4 1.25 dual computers that I sync together with MTC. My ProTools computer is running os 9.2.2 and I am running ver. 5.2. My Logic computer is running os 10.2.8 with Logic version 6.3.3. I sync the two seperate systems using MTC.

Here is the problem. When I hit play.... the systems lock up immediately... and anywhere between 1 and 6 seconds... on the logic system running OSX has a sample rate fluctuation and then within about 2-3 seconds it mellows out and it does not happen again.

I have trouble shooted this problem in just about all variations and have come to the conclusion that it is not logic or protools... but osx.... this problem does not happen when I run logic on os9.

What do you think???

Thanks
