Question Core audio digi 003+?

Hi there all and thanks to anyone who can help me.
Some turd broke into my house and stole my main audio interface so for now I'm stuck using my digi 003 as my main interface.
No problems in PT but I can't seem to get Core Audio to recognize the 003's ADAT or SPDIF I/O.
The Digidesign Core Audio guide says it supports all 18 channels, is this the case?
BTW: If it helps, I installed an RME PCIe MADI card (it ain't coming out) and I'm running Cubase 5.5.1, PT 8.04, Reason 4.01, Logic 8, Reaper with a Liquid mix 32 and a butt ton of plugins.

Mac Pro Intel Quad Core 2.66 Ghz 8 gigs ram
Approved Firewire card SIGG I believe.
OSX 10.6.3
