Default Cool Sounding Technique

So this is what i want to do:

I have a spoken word track that i am using, but what i want to do is have it start up like an old record player. So that its really slow in the begining and then it speeds up to the correct tempo. how do you do that?

Lets say you audio is at 120 bpm and you wanna go from 34bpm and up to 120bpm

Cut you audio at an interval at 10ms (or what ever size you like)
Switch you track to ticks
Set your tempo change to go from 34 to 120 over 4 bars (or the length you want)
Protools will now have change the spaces between you audio
Then go in and timestretch each single part
And finally select it all and do a batch crossfade on it

Select it again and then consolidate it all. My system has a bug (has been reported to digidesign), if i dont consolidate it will crash ...

Sometimes the effect above works and sometimes is dosn't ... but its cheaper than buying a product
Done by memory so there maybe glitches in it

best wishes

Download the DEMO of Serato Pitch n Time and use that in Varispeed mode.
Serato is very good for this type of effect.

Vari-fi and Izotope vinyl, (its free), plus if you do vinyl to an aud track and record it with no audio, with scratces on, you can get a bump that sounds like the needle landing on the record too...just snap the bump and put it where you want it. i'd do vari-fi before vinyl though... as you want the speed up sound to be affected similaryly to th rest, otherwise you'd here the noise get craz too, and i think that would sound more naturally uniform? right? either way a very nice touch...
