I guess G4's shall be a Legacy topic now!

I'm glad I held out from buying a $2000 wind tunnel!!!

Yeah , ive learned my lesson, own two G5's and they both are crappy compared to my G4.
AND the G4 are upgradeable, AND expandable.

Steve Jobs i hope you are reading this, you totatlly [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep]ed up the Mac by making the G5's non upgradeable and unreliable.

Other than adding memory or HDD in certain MacBooks or the Mac Pro nothing Apple makes is upgradeable. People that upgrade put off buying new hardware. Apple sell's hardware.

Why would you would want to upgrade a G5? The writing was on the wall in late 2005 early 2006 that the PPC era was coming to close from a hardware point of view and Snow Leopard dropping PPC support was the final nail in the coffin. Snow Leopard is the line in the sand. Unless you need a G5 to be a host for PCIx cards theres no advantage over a modern Mac.
