Default Waves TDM Prices DID Double Overnight

TDM prices doubled in overnight on dealer's sites. Look at Sweetwater now:
Waves Mercury Collection TDM $9900

What could be Wave's strategy on this move and how does it relate to AAX and HDX?

So the price of AAX DSP versions can use these prices I hope.

It could be that whoever owns TDM plugins and is current with WUP will get a free transition to AAX DSP, and these prices may reflect that extra value. Just a theory.

I really hope so. The price hike might end up being a good sign for AAX DSP development being closer than Waves is talking about. I personally feel Waves has massively been dropping the ball on this whole issue though. I completely understand that they have a ton of plugs to convert and it's a pretty large undertaking. However, their public attitude towards the whole thing has not been what I'd hope for at all. First time I've seen them practically dare other companies to jump in and steal some of their clients.

It will be pretty interesting to see when they actually make an announcement.

Has Waves officially stated they are doing AAX DSP plugins? Last I heard, they were on the fence about it and were pushing Native.
