Default Release code, Registration ID, Serial number

Hello,

yesterday I have bought and installed ProTools 9 student version, then I've got an email with my Registration Details, but there is no Release Code and I need it to register my Pro Tools.
I tried to register it nevertheless, and I've got a message that also my serial number and registration number wasnt found.

Can you please help me solve this?

Thanx

Not sure if this will help. I think the registration screen needs to be updated.

I installed HD last week and the 'release code' was not where the screen instruction said it would be. I tried the number of digits it was asking for from a set of numbers on the card that was not identified as a release code and it worked fine.

Hi,
It sounds like you are getting the registration prompt in Pro Tools to register the product. Since you received "an email with my Registration Details", you are already registered.

If you received an Activation Code to get your Pro Tools 9 license, when you do the activation, it is also the registration process.

You should be able to just choose "I have upgraded my Pro Tools Software".
Then it reports back by saying, "Because you activated your product online, you're already registered. Thank You!"

Then an "Exit Registration" button appears in the lower right hand corner.

But in some cases, we have seen the registration window come up again even after doing that. If that happens then you may have to manually delete the following file:

On Mac, delete:
"ProToolsRegistration.app"
from Applications/Digidesign/Pro Tools/

On Windows, delete:
"ProToolsRegistration.exe"
from C:\Program Files\Digidesign\Pro Tools

Deleting the file will not change your registration or the Pro Tools program in any way.

In Pro Tools 8, these filese were named:
"DigidesignRegistration.app"
"DigidesignRegistration.exe"
So if you see those on your system, you can safely delete those as well.
