Help using unbalanced Outputs 1/2 on Fast Track Pro
I can't get on the Avid forum right now, so I was hoping someone here could help me.
I currently use the balanced outputs from the M-Audio Fast Track Pro to feed a pair of active monitors. I would also like to be able to send a signal to an input on my stereo system as an additional monitor source. The Fast Track Pro manual says: Unbalanced Outputs 1 and 2 (Outputs 1/2) – These are unbalanced outputs on RCA connectors. The signal to these outputs mirrors the signal to TRS Outputs 1 and 2 (27). However, when I plug this output signal into an input on my stereo, I get a lot of noice and hum and a very weak signal. Is there a specific input on my stereo I should be using (phone vs CD)? Could something be wrong with my Fast Track Pro? If anyone has any advice on this I would greately appreciated it! Thanks!
