Default Help! Sessions won't restore plugin settings...

Hi all,

I recently had to migrate from a PC DAW to a Mac Pro system (windows died...). I transferred all my session files from my old audio drive but now when I open them none of the plugin settings have been stored and all the plugins open in the default or blank setting.

I am running OSX 10.6.4 (I know it is not supported oficially but it is a new mac pro so it is all I had, and the support guy on the phone told me it should be fine) and LE 8.0.4

System is a new Mac Pro 8 Core (8gb Ram 2 x 2.4ghz Xeon Quad Cores). Any help would be massively appreciated - I have projects that I desperately need to restore so I can work on them ahead of a deadline for a sound design this week. I have tried importing session details into a blank session as well as opening the original session file. Neither recalls the plugin settings.

Thanks,

Danny

Anyone come across this problem before? I trashed the settings and reinstalled PT and now it will recall some settings (the digi plugins) but still doesn't recall 3rd party plugs (such as altiverb) and doesn't find Liquid Mix, which shows up as an error when the projects load and PT lists it as missing- even though it is installed and I can insert it as a new plugin.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Danny

Are you using presets or custom settings on the plug-ins?

They are custom settings.
