Default need help on new setup

hello all im trying to setup a small home studio and im stuck on two setups i need to know what would work best for me i wil be recording mostly rap and r&b vocals the setups im looking into are the m-box 3pro or i might buy protools 10 and get a Scarlett 18i20 USB interface thanks for the help u guys

im running pc not mac

If you are not going to record bands or drumkits, The Mbox would be plenty(but both are likely good and safe choices)

I agree, I would go with the mbox pro (not being biased here) for tight intergration with Pro Tools, it also offers some great features but its your choice.

Look for a 'bundled' package, meaning you get the software bundled with hardware/interface. This is often a cheaper way to get a good deal rather than buying stuff separately.

So if you're looking to use Pro Tools, then as suggested the Mbox Pro bundled with PT would be a good way to go. I'm not sure, but this may even include a free upgrade to PT11.

Yes, it will include the free upgrade to 11, and is more cost effective than buying the Scarlett and Protools software separately.

Plus with the Mbox Pro you'll get 4 free (very good) plugins when you register the hardware and software.
