Yes! It does exist

Keep in mind this is a slow, stepped roll out in order to avoid having problems. This is a new product for Avid, and they don't want to just put it up for everyone all at once. The stepped roll out helps to minimize problems.

Be patient, it is real, it is coming.

If you need something on your family Mac right now, you could always download the Pro Tools 11 Trial or sign up for a one month subscription to PT12 while you are waiting.

Both of these would require an iLok version 2 as I'm sure you are aware.

The Pro Tools trial is not free. You have to buy a $50 iLok. I don't think very many people have an iLok lying around the house.

If we use that same logic, no software is free because computers cost money.

The Pro Tools trial is free. You pay nothing for it. It requires an iLok, which is not free.

Most people on this forum do, especially people like the OP who have multiple Pro Tools systems.

i'm not talking about people on this forum. i talking about people who would like to try pro tools before spending a lot of money. Why not give a 60 day free trial (like reaper, no iLok) and really make it free.

No matter how you slice it, the trial is free. It's the ilok that costs money.

If you read the first post on this thread, the man is waiting fir PT first so his son could try it. the moderator suggested trying the pt free trial. He would have to but an iLok in order try it.
