HELP with an assertion error

I have upgraded to 7.0 and suddently i get an error when wanting to record audio : Assertion in CNeolnode.cpp

I have never seen it before and can find no info in answerbase....please advise anyone??

I just got bit by this as well. I called tech support and they told me to delete the Digidesign database folders from all of my drives. Quit protools first, delete the folders, empty trash, and restart protools. Problem solved. They said an Answerbase article is on the way. Hope this works for you too.

I too ran across this error this weekend. At first I suspected that the junior engineer (my son) had done something, but then I searched and found this post. I did the prescribed deletion of the databases and everything works fine now.

I suspect that Digi is working on a patch release that will be forthcoming.
Word to the wise: Backup your data often!
