Installing the new WLC, uninstalling and then reinstalling PT fixed it for me.

I did the WLC update in between a mixing session and did not expect a fatal error with 12.5.

The "Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013" Install fixed it for me.

Back to work! Yay!

Then there is this.....

I say *seems* as I haven't had real chance to run it for an extended session, but the current project I'm working on always threw up the error 6 after 15-20 secs of playback without fail. Remove both Waveshells & its been looping for a good 30 mins without a problem (12.4).

I'll put a ticket into Waves but thought I'd share it here too. I don't really want to risk forking out 250 bucks for a new WUP (it ran out in November) without knowing whether it will or won't fix the problem as I'm not sure if they're evn past 9.6/9.7(soundgrid) yet.

Just had the dreaded DLL error hit me upon launching PT12.5 on Win 7 64 bit machine after the new Waves Central update

"Pro Tools 12 could not be loaded. Please contact the software publisher for support using this software.

Error details;

Import DLL mfc120u.dll cannot be loaded."

BUT! The "Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013" install fixed it for me.
Happy and THANK YOU to you wonderful DUCers; never would have figured that one out!

I'm unable to log into the latest central update. In touch with support but the troubleshooting has not yet worked. Prior versions of central were fine for me.

OSX 10.8.5
PT 12.4

Hey guys,

This is Or of Waves QA. Apology for any inconvenience caused by this. This issue was indeed a bug in the Visual C++ 2013 redists installers. Thanks to you and this thread it is now fixed and integrated in our Waves Central installer.

The reason behind the "urgent" call for action to update central, without getting into too much detail, is a security update in our servers dropping support in our old dev certification (Sha1). What literally means that older WC versions will not be able to communicate with the servers (licenses & downloads). Until we will have an auto-update integrated in WC, our users will be required to manually download the installer. This is not ideal, but we are aware of this and working on it

Thanks again for helping tackling this!

Here it is Waves Central

Or
