protools le and mtp av triton mpc

ok I put protools 5 le in midi beat mode...I push the record button....than when I push play on the mpc or triton protools starts recording..the problem is the tempo..protools is never right about the counts...mpc is on bar 5 protools is on bar 3..any suggestions

PT's needs to be set to slave or sync to external source ie: MPC..............or.........visa versa

ok in protools le where is this function..because all that happens is protools starts when I push play on the mpc but it is not in sync bar or beat wise...when I try and play midi notes in protools in sync with the mpc..it is not ..when I make multiple passes in the mpc dumping audio to protools it is fine..just not in sync with protools bars and beats...which is driving me nuts
