Default Moving marker selects all tracks?

Hey, I think I've accidently made Pro Tools mad at me.

For some reason, when I move the marker, all tracks gets selected. Really annoying. How do I disable this?

Not sure if it's a called a marker. That play marker (that guideline that's moving forward when the song is played)

That's not a marker, and it sounds like its behaving normally. What are you trying to do? Generally, you would choose the smart tool and simply click with the I tool(smart tool with the cursor hovering in the upper half on any track). Click and playback would start from that point when you hit the spacebar. Another possibility, maybe the ALL group is selected. Have learned about groups yet? Tiny arrow pointing to the left, in the lower left corner. Click on it to open/close a column that shows tracks in the upper pane and groups in the lower pane. If there is a group named ALL, and if its highlighted, click on it to UNhighlight it and try again.

If its not a group, then is it possible the Alt key is stuck on your keyboard? I have never seen this happen unless a group is enabled.

The alt key is not stuck, it's working like normal in all other software. I have no idea why pro tools do this to me..

I know you say it's not groups, but suspend all groups anyway and see if it still does it.

Trashing prefs and database files is worth a try for any odd behavior(of Pro Tools)
