Default Mid data transfer

Whoever can help,

This is my set up: I have the MPC 2000 with my Triton LE hooked up with Midi cables. Audio cables for both are hooked up to my mixer that is hooked up to the Mbox 2. What I want to do is create my sequences in the MPC (using the triton midi notes) and transfer the midi data used in the MPC into Pro tools as midi notes for each track. I have my MPC and Triton hooked up fine, but how do I get that data over to Pro tools?

Help will be much appreciated.

Save the data on the MPC as a .mid file, transfer it to the PC on a floppy, and then import the .mid file into Pro Tools. Once in Pro Tools, you will have to assign the output of each individual MIDI track to the device that you are triggerring with it (triton, mpc), but that's about it.

I was successful and it did work. I appreciate the help. I guess the reason I wanted to find these things out are because I want to find out which hardware will be the master. I'm going to stick with the MPC as the building block and just smooth out the tracks in pro-tools.

Cool,
Mike B.
