Changing Session Bit depth in ProTools
Hmmm and I thought it would be simple. . .
A project came in that was started elsewhere in ProTools as 16 bit. The feel of the beds is good but I have to redo all the vocs, guitars and I would like to work in 24 bit. How do I take a 16 bit session and convert it up to 24 bit, while retaining everything that is already recorded (including what is the the audio list)? I would have thought this would be built in functionality (easy) but I don't see a reasonable path. What am I missing? I am working with a MixPlus and PT5.00. What is the shortest path to this end. Thanks . . .Howard |

Re: Changing Session Bit depth in ProTools
Use the function Save Session Copy... in the File menu and set the bit rate.
