Default dae error -7053

I was working on a short film today, and tried to use Izotope Vinyl as an audio suite when I got the following error message:

"The audio suite pug-in could not be instantiated because DAE is low on memory (error #-7053)"

I tried to instantiate the plug on a track and got the same error (less the audio suite part).
My setup is as follows:
PowerBook G4 1.33ghz 1.5gb RAM - OS 10.4.6
Mbox running PT 7.1cs8
Session and audio files reside on a 250gig Lacie FW400 drive w plenty of free space.

I tried some other plug ins, they all seem to work fine. I followed the general troubleshooting steps, trashing db's prefs, permissions, etc.. no luck. When I got the error, system monitor showed I had over 900mb of RAM free, so I don't think I'm actually running out of memory.
I then opened the same session in my alternate PT rig, and Izotope Vinyl worked fine. My alternate rig is:
PowerBook G4 1.33ghz 1.5gb RAM - OS 10.4.11
Mbox running PT 7.1cs8
Same Lacie drive, same session.

I thought maybe the plug was corrupt, so I replaced the plug on my 10.4.6 rig with the plug that worked from my 10.4.11 rig, with no luck.

Any ideas of why I can't get this plug in to work on my 10.4.6 rig? Any other steps I can try?
Thanks
