Default Getting my Arturia V-Collection to show up in PT 12?

I had it installed prior to installing PT.
Any tips to getting it to show up?

Long story short.
Bought V-Collection, love it.
Installed it prior to purchasing/receiving/installing Pro Tools 12.
I see my Laboratory 49 Controller in the "input" list, but output list only shows "The Laboratory 49" midi channels 1-16.

I thought for sure I'd see lists of each instrument, i.e.; Mini V, Arp V, etc... or at least Analog Lab at a minimum.

Once I can get this functioning, I'll just create templates to preserve the setup so each blank session begins the same way and I can begin arming/recording tracks right away.

Any counsel would be most helpful and appreciated.

You could try the obvious things:

- trash protools preferences and restart
- get protools to rescan plugins (there is a key modifier on protools startup to do this, sorry can't remember what it is but if you google it you might find it)
- reinstall V Collection.

If those don't work, maybe contact Arturia support, might be an update required from their end. I bought V collection some time ago but I found it very buggy in AAX to be honest and haven't used it much at all.

Thank you, I'll look into re-scanning the plugins, get tech support to help me with that.

There's no need for some kind of modifier key to get PT to rescan IF you trash the prefs and databases which is what I think you meant to say. Get Pete Gates's utility to do the trashing (with PT shut down of course) and restart PT and the plugins will be rescanned.

There's no need for tech support to do that. Get Gate's program; see this thread: http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?p...18#post2239318
go to post #74 and there's a link to the utility in Pete's sig file (it's the third link). Install it and use it. Works a charm. And you can even backup certain files before you do the trashing.

Ok, found the link, ran the trash folder, now I re-scanned, it found them all, what is the next step from there in order to properly keep them in the plugin folder?

Never mind. I found the Unused folder, then the Used folder, opened up both of them, dragged the missing items from the used folder to the used folder, closed the gate, opened up PT, and they're all there now in the Stereo Instruments.

Thanks so much folks. This has been a huge help.

Now on to the next issue, the Fast Track Duo interface.

Got the Fast Track figured out too.
Turns out all the clicks & pops were because I had "ignore errors" selected, which lists the possibility of clicks & pops.

I think I'm fully functioning now, and dead quiet too, very discreet, hardly any line noise.

Thanks again for everyones help. Now I get to start creating templates.

Got my midi info in the track, but not seeing the waveform stems in the next track.

Can anyone post a screenshot of how they have the i/o setup for the audio portion of their Virtual Instruments please?

This is the learning curve I anticipated, but it's still loads easier than Sonar was on the PC. Loving the PT experience so far!
