Having trouble getting SC48 to work with Venue link on alternate network interface

title pretty much says it all.

Running PT10 on a laptop. SC48 @ v3. Got the venue link to work by hooking up to the wired interface of the laptop - both console & laptop are on the same network switch, but I would like to use the laptop's wifi instead.

I can't choose the alternate network interface for PT to look through, it just won't let me click on it & sits there looking at me with 0.0.0.0.

I could be wrong, but I don't think venuelink supports wifi. I think the idea is that your computer would be located near the console if you're recording from it, no? Is wifi really necessary?

Hi,

WiFi can work, provided the console and WiFi connection are on the same network and have IP addresses within the same range.

A 0.0.0.0 IP address indicates the device is not being issued an IP address, or that there's a config issue between DHCP and Manual IP addressing. Start by checking the network config on the Pro Tools computer. Then be sure to choose the WiFi connection as teh Ethernet interface on the Peripherals>VENUE tab within Pro Tools.
