Default Weeee I just burnt $498 on my Avid PT Subscriptions for another year!!

Weeeeeeeeee! I just blew $399 on my PT HD renewal and $99 on my PT Vanilla Education renewal!!

Bye Bye Former Avid Execs...
8.2.2017 - Tony Cariddi, Director of Product and Solutions Marketing - Have fun at Dolby!
5.6.2017 - Rich Nevens, Director Strategic Solutions - Have fun at Focusrite!
12.31.2016 - Tim Carroll, VP, Audio Division - Have fun as CEO at Focusrite!

Looks like my $498 will get me
-another year of no new features
-worthless support I'll never use but somehow have to pay for
-remaining stability issues
-total lack of innovation
-zero communication with DUC users from AVID
-another fishing lure for Avid CEO Louis Hernandez Jr. when he's out on his world-class yacht
-stock price at it's lowest ever even with the Wall St. Trump Bump

Weeeeeee who wants to burn money with me? Weeeeeee!

I mean though, really, if you NEED those systems; you're using them to make money. If you're making money with them, then you're doing taxes. If you're doing taxes, then you can write those off. As a business owner, you know this; and if you're losing money...then maybe you cut costs to cover your expenses. If it ain't broke don't fix it...meaning if you have a working system, then there's no reason to spend money your business doesn't have.

Could go on with how this is actually barely logical in all realities and actually trickles down from actual work done before he even made his inauguration speech, but ain't the forum for it.

God only knows why one would be so publicly proud of wasting money......is this an example of America being made great again?

Ahhhh but I'm not the only one am I? Most of us fell for the scam. I may be expressing myself in a joking way here but I'm really pretty unhappy that Avid continues to flounder on developing Pro Tools to the level it should be by now by not investing my contribution wisely. Dontcha think it's about time they get to work and do right by their customers?!

No your not the only one....I am also pretty sure I'm done....

only thing that scares me is them tidying up the code to include track folder and track presets.

I really don't need anything else.

and yes for the year I think I got Audio Suite clip effects or what ever that was....I never used it. I don't even know if they fixed it to be usable to be honest.

No, not by a long shot, you are by far in the majority.

I have yet to give Avid a penny of extortion money, and have not had a concern yet. As far as I'm concerned I've already saved money, by not buying into this nonsense.

When they show a pattern of continued value for my money, I'll make the upgrade, and not until that point. HD11 for the foreseeable future!
