Default Bad Accel Card??

I recently upgraded from a HD2 Accel to a HD3 Accel and I'm afraid the new card I got may not be working properly. In one of my sessions, I can see that the 1st Accel card's DSP chips are all being used but on the new card, it seems to only fill up the first 2-3 DSP chips. I'll try to add another plugin and I get an error message saying I'm out of DSP power but 2/3 of the Accel card is free. I was just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

This does seem strange! you do have different chips on the accel cards! i think its chips 4-7 are the 321 chips with ram! chips 1-3 are normal presto chips and chips 8-9 are 321 without ram! something like that! blah blah etc. so diffrent plugins will run on diffrent chips! revibe only on 321 with ram chips 3-7 etc.

Have you tried instantiating different plugs? is it all plugins won't instantiate? which would indicate a problem somewhere!

Have you re-seated the cards and checked all the connecting cables and flexi cables? and run Digi test?

Chris

Default Re: Bad Accel Card??

Thanks Chris,

I'll check the cables and try reseating the card. I didn't know that some chips were ram and others were not. That sounds like it could have something to do with it. Last night I was just trying to add a Lo-Fi plugin to an Auxillary and then to a regular audio track and no luck. I will play around with it some more tonight so I can give you more details.

Thanks!
