I recommend C24 if you are using it mainly music. You will get 16 Focusrite pre-amp with it and it is well designed just working around music and mixing.
C24 is also a lot cheaper than ProControl.

Control 24 is a better bang for the buck. Especially if you don't plan on expanding beyond 24 faders.
C24 has 24 faders (PC has 8), 16 mic pres (PC has none). The C24 has a submixer section. It's also less expensive and looks a little more impressive to the client than a single Pro Control does.

FYI the Control 24 has had known power supply problems. At least the earlier models did.

I'd say, definitely go with the Control 24. I use both, and I own the Control 24. It's a way better deal, and like one of the other folks said, it's a better bang for the buck. The Pro Control has no mic preamps, but it's quite robust..It's also super expensive. You'll pay 20,000 dollars retail for 16 faders, and less than 10,000 dollars for a Control 24. The Control 24 has 24 faders and 16 mic pres. Make SURE that you don't get a real old one that has not been "fixed", as the power supplies on them were bad. I have no problems with my newer one, but an associate of mine took his back three or four times when they first came out, and he still gets wierdness. I live just a few miles from the facility where they are made and distributed, and my friends there said that was a big problem when they first came out. It has long since been fixed, and I LOVE MINE sometimes more than my wife! I like the Pro Control I work on too, but my fried who owns it says he would have bought a Control 24 if they were available at the time.
