Default Shopping for a new Computer

I"ve been using Pro Tools LE for many years, went through a few different computers. Most recently, i had a pc desktop, which worked great until one of the hard drives died. Since then, been using my MacBook Air for basic tracking and mixing.

Now, I want to get a brand new computer, dedicated for recording, that will stay in my studio. Money is not an object for this purchase, but I don't want to spend too much more than i need for the next few years. I'm technically savvy, but often i'd rather pay than tinker with hardware.

I currently have Pro Tools 11x, several Superior Drummer libraries, several waves plugins, etc. I also have the UA Apollo Twin (quad core/thunderbolt), eleven rack, line6 helix. I'm a guitar player, but record many genres, including some dance/techno.

So, I want to buy a desktop that i don't have to add components to, one that is built, ready to go for me to install software and get to recording asap. I'm willing to upgrade all plugins, extras to latest if needed. I'm comfortable on mac and pc. So, if you had a budget up to $3-4k for a new desktop, what would you buy (not piece together). Thanks

If you are fine with a PC, pro-tools-pc.com Spec it with an SSD for system, a 1-2TB drive for recording and another 1-2TB drive for sample libraries and get the thunderbolt option

Yes, go with them if you want a PC. They will fine tune the BIOS and the OS to optimally Run Pro tools.

Thanks. I visited the site, chatted with the builder, and bought one. Will let you know how it works out, but based on the upgrades, it can't fail.
