Default Roland TD-20 set up?

Hi all,

Having problems getting the TD-20 to playback. MIDI's connected and assigned in the MIDI setup studio, main audio out of the TD-20's brain is routed to the 003 Factory's CH.# 5 & 6...but still getting the generic keyboard sounds out of PT's.

Any ideas?

-thx

How do you have the Audio out of the TD20 routed into Pro Tools? Have you assigned the MIDI Track output to your TD20 MIDI channel?

With multiple VI's operating, it becomes important to select assignments for all midi devices. If you select VIEW>Mix Window Show> and check INSTRUMENTS, your mix window will have a new set of boxes at the top. Assuming you have setup midi devices under the Midi Studio setup window, you should be able to specify which midi instrument will "play" each VI track. Its a bit of a PITA, but it does work. I have setup 3 stereo instrument tracks with 3 midi devices(Roland TD10, Yamaha Motif es8 and an Ensoniq keyboard) to play/record ezdrummer, DB33 and MiniGrand at the same time without cross-talk.

OK...Rail,

I've got the MIDI in set to MIDI CH. #1

The MIDI out set to CH # 10 x9blade.

I've picked up an AUX track...correct? And have...Audio out of the TD-20
coming in to CH 5 & 6 of the 003 Factory to monitor the signal.

...So far so good? Just using the TD-20 drums for now albee...thx everyone.
