Re: recording two mics at once
hook up 2 mics. Create 2 tracks. Set one to channel 1, the other to channel 2 (probably already setup like this), record-arm the tracks (little red button on the fader-strip) and go into record (click rec-button on transport and then play. Or just hit the numeric "3")

thats the problem though, its not already setup like this. When I record enable both, only one is coming through.

Does one of your mics reqiure phantom power? that could be the problem. What types of mics are they?

Re: recording two mics at once
Could be as simple as a bad cable. Does the track that isn't recording receive audio before you start rec/playback?
