Default Lacie 320 7200 fw400 with mbox pro on macbook pro

anyone use the lacie 7200 series with firewire 400 and an mbox pro? i have a rig i am using for location recording 6 tracks and i seem to be getting the occasional hiccups during record where it says try removing device from fw bus. i have the laptop and mbox powered off of house power but the drive is bus powered. i know it is not oxford 911 chipset in the drive but i figured 7200 would be fine for 6 tracks. just wondering if the usb power cable with the drive plus house power on mbox and laptop is what it might need? or did i just choose the wrong drive for this setup? just wondering if anyone has had success with this type of setup

this question just popped in my head-any macbook pro users have success with a powered hub and mbox 2 pro to help with firewire bus issues? dang why couldnt have they added 2 fw ports instead of 2 usb

The Mbox 2 Pro is bus powered as well - using the power supply with it could be causing the problem. See the General Troubleshooting thread for more details...

As for FireWire hubs - I definitely do not recommend them and have seen numerous problems being reported.
