I've decided to skip this generation of s6m40. Any news or rumors what Avid has up their sleeve for the next large format avid pro audio controller?

Don't expect anything in the coming years. The pro audio equipment has a life span of at least 10 years. Look at the Icon platform. The only upgrade was a facelift with new colors. The only thing which is permanently evolving is the software...

Maybe they can add a more robust console housing and add another row with built in meter bridge displays. I'd take that.
