You've been around long enough to know that even though there's an Abbey Road Collection there's no such thing as an Abbey Roads bundle - two totally different animals. The only thing WUP gets you is updates to whatever plugins you do have - it doesn't necessarily mean you get any new plugins that may be associated with a bundle.

Not really. Version updates are covered under WUP and not ownership of the AR Collection which is NOT a bundle.

Actually, really… Jack; abc1mce2 has it correct-
Tomato /tomahto, bundle/collection–
Owning the Mercury “bundle” doesn't get me all of the waves plug-ins
i.e.- the instruments;
But owning the Abbey Road “collection” I was able to get the three newest plugs for 40-something dollars,
at a bundle price, as referenced above…

But the wup's are separate for each. And new plugins don't automatically get added to the 'bundle'. What you got really isn't a bundle.

Once you upgrade to the AR Collection all Abbey Roads plugins will have the same date for the expiring WUP date. The benefit is that it extends your AR Collection WUP and gives you discounts on any new Abbey Roads plugins. I probably should have said WUP as well to avoid confusion.

The new plugins do get added to the Collection even though it doesn't say Collection in your account. It does say Collection when you select upgrade and select all you Abbey Road plugins when a new plugin is released or you want to extend your AR Collection WUP.
