Default Re: To C24 or not to C24

I'm in the same boat about the C24. I have around 5 grand to spend ( and obviously more for proper cabling) and I'm just worried about the longevity of the product. I've noticed Guitar Center and a few other major distributers have stopped carrying it except for special order.

I almost pulled the trigger on a used one here in Chicago, but I think I will wait till the new year to make my final decision.

The S3 seems like it would be an option, just seems like too much for just a dedicated fader controller. I wouldn't have to get new furniture or worry about all the new cabling and patch bays, so that is a plus for the S3.

Does anyone know how the C24 or S3 work on Windows 7 and Pro Tools 11? My Command 8 works fine, so I would assume all would be fine.

Yes and yes. C24 connects via trusted Diginet, S3 is Eucon. C24 hasn't been end of lifed yet, so years of life left in it.

Thanks for the info on Win 7 compatibility! I can wait for the new year, I'm thinking after NAMM to see if anything super interesting becomes available on the market.
