I cannot repro this as per the first example in the video on 8.0 Mac LE. I get the standard warning dialogs.

Matt you "WILL" get the normal dialogs - it's what happens "AFTER" the Dialog's that's Scarey -

if you re-produce the steps exactly...

- New Session
- New Track
- Record A region
- Convert Track to Ticks
- Convert Track to Polyphonic
- Elastic Properties / Pitch --> Raise the pitch of the region a few semitones
- Cmd Shift U
- Cmd Shift B
- Click "Delete" in the normal Dialog
- Save and Close your session
- Open Session - No regions on your Playlist

I spent my work day yesterday recovering from this bug. Doing multitrack sessions at 96K I often delete unused regions to conserve disk space. Yesterday when I opened my 8.0cs2 session many important regions were missing, particularly many regions that I had stretched using the TCE tool with Pitch'nTime as my TCE plugin. I had to spend much of the day finding the placeholders and repairing them. The posted bug is consistent with my experience though Elastic Audio was not involved.

You say missing, does that mean they were offline or the region gone from the timeline and did those files still reside in the audio files folder or where they gone/deleted?

OK, I'm seeing it now.

Ticks vs Samples doesn't matter.

It's Pitch related only. TCE regions via Elastic Audio are not affected.
Non-Elastic regions not affected either, at least in the basic repro from scratch. But your video seemed to imply otherwise in the second case. Have you been able to repro that from scratch?

As stated in above posts - I can only "Repro" the "Behavior", in the EA Steps mentioned above.

I can NOT find the steps to re-create this "Behavior", using Standard regions -

Of the 10's of Thousands of "Standard Regions" I've worked with, this has only happened twice -

So, unless my zipped session, and reproducible Elastic Pitch Example is enough for Digi to "Zone in on this Behavior" - it could be a potential disaster for 1 in a hundred thousand regions, randomly for users out there, for what ever reason.

which is enough, for Me to change my "Delete Unused Regions From Disk", work flow, in cleaning sessions, and warn others, until this is completely addressed in a cs Update.

They were deleted as in gone forever.
