Waves Dorrough 380-D meter - any thoughts?
Anyone using the Waves Dorrough? How does it compare to brainworx bx-meter and others?
cheers, bb |

It is very nice-looking and versatile. Three different 'styles' (GUI types), each is scalable (3 fixed sizes). Has also surround version (sold separately). Shows peaks and average.

Re: Waves Dorrough 380-D meter - any thoughts?
For film and tv mixing I love it, can't mix without it. I use a multimono instance and just watch the center channel. Really helps me get the dialog to the levels I need easiser than an LUFS meter. For music I don't find it as useful.

Actually I quite often use the bx_meter and Dorrough interchangeably.
The ballistics are slightly different, the bx_meter a bit more flexible, but the Dorrough are quite decent. I only wish it had a size between Medium and Small |
