Re: fighting faders
Hi
I know this is an ongoing issue and it has been for us with our unit but after I had tried endless fader cycle runs and cleaning with compressed air (with some but not total success) a colleague had the idea of rocking the fader caps gently from side to side (not back and forth). To my great surprise this has vastly improved things and although the odd fader drops out this "waggling" has provided a viable (and free) fix. I think some people may have more serious issues with their faders but in our case it has sorted out a long term problem (around 8 faders on a 24 fader unit fighting, but not always the same ones). Insultingly simple but try it. It might just work... |

Re: fighting faders
I had a dust cover made with little velcro tabs, and I lay this cloth over the D-Command including the meter bridge every night when I am done. This helps keep the faders clean.
:)

Re: fighting faders
FWIW- I had this problem (I started this thread) and Digi tech support provided a solution that fixed the problem for good. I have not had a single problem since then. Call them.

Re: fighting faders
Carbon faders were the fix for me. No problems since then.
