What's up with all the PT10's for sale on eBay w/o the activation card????

So looking at getting is for the mixing in 32 and the multiple sample rates in a session, and I've heard it's a bit quicker over all, but I digress

I'm on eBay right and there are all these guys selling PT10 but w/o the activation card - so I don't wanna go down that road again (that's how i got 9) but I'm wondering wtheck why would someone not wanna give up the card and activation codes as well?? What are they doing with them ?????

I assume they are selling the ilok auth? without the ilok auth or activation code they have nothing to sell. a box of fresh air maybe

Yeah they're selling the ilock authorizations but I'm wondering what are they doing with the activation cards that you actually need it to sync it to your avid account

You won't need an activation card.

I just purchased a Pro Tools 10 upgrade on Ebay and the seller set it up so Avid took over the deposit of the iLok asset. They also sent me an activation code for my Pro Tools 8 HD to Pro Tools 10 HD Upgrade. Then all I had to do was go to www.avid.com/activation to activate and download the iLok asset to my iLok account. I was also given links to the installers upon activation.

The sellers are just setting up the process and then Avid takes over.
