19.5.1 fixes things that people on the forums were complaining about. It's a safe bet.

I tried this but it only seems to work for plugin windows and the pan window. Sends however just close when you move to the next track.

Correct, this is because send windows work differently, may not be there or maybe a different one.

Thanks, at the moment it closes even when it's the same slot sending to the same bus. Keeping it open would indeed help for example when you're trying to apply some reverb to 5 tracks on elements belonging to the same effect in a film session. In that case you'd have sends in slots 1-3 unified across a whole set of tracks for example.

Maybe the send can close if the send in a given slot on the next track is going to a different bus to signal it's a different effect you'd be sending to.
