command + shift + 4

then drag the crosshairs. The image will show up on your desktop (or wherever you've set your default.)

command + shift + 3 takes a shot of the whole screen

(there may be one more way but I can't remember right now. There's also an application in OS 10 in utilites called "Grab" that takes screen shots, but since I always use command + shift + 4, I've not explored it.

If you are on OSX, just use the App called "Grab" which is located in the Utilities folder under Applications.

Oh. I think it comes up as a PDF, so i'd change it in Photoshop or something if necessary. Maybe there's an OS 10 app that'll do it.

option+shift+4 then hit space bar to "capture" the window that the cursor (now a camera) is over.
Also open in "preview" and export to another format is you need to

Snapz in your application folder does the same job, you can select exactly what you want to take a pic of (ie-border)

There is a lot of NeXT stuff that was updated for OS X. I wish they would update BoinkOut. The sounds were really cool !

Take Care,
Gene
