How do I insert a plug-in on my track?

I have just set up this new version of Pro Tools 8.05 and don't see how to insert a plug-in into the track. I've went to 'view' and I see everything but plug-ins. I'm sure it's something simple but I'm not seeing it.

Click on the grey rectangle box just under (in the mixer view) the inserts title

This will bring up another window - then u can select either mono/stereo type and then another selection for the type of insert/plug - eq dynamics instrument ect

Thanks. I'll check that out. I kinda thought it was in there somewhere when didn't see a way to add it to the track in 'view' or 'track'.
