Does 002 sound better than 001?

002 has 96k instead of 48k in the mic pre. Are there other differences? Does it sound better?
I heard that 001 will be un-supported soon - should that be a consideration ? I just need to record mostly 2 voices with delay and echo. Should I get 001, 002, or an Mbox?

002 has bettern a/d/a convertors than the 001, the Mbox convertors are of similar quality to the 002.
The Mbox should be fine for your needs, so long as you don't need to record more than 2 tracks simultaneously.

Yes the 002 sounds better, it has better pres and converters.

If all you EVER will need is 2 in/out, get the M-box. IF there is ANY chance of needing mroe than that, gt the 002 or 002R.
