Well for starters ur Video card(s) are probably some of the problem as well as it seems that all your drives are really slow if I'm reading it rite.. (8mg & 15-16mb cache drives won't cut it ESPECIALLY if u have(is that 2) 1g vid cards... I can take a stab & say that u did NOT look thru the i7 sticky before makin ur purchases...There maybe more but thatz what jumped out @me...

Yup, as Mr.Keybeeetsss has pointed out, 1GB video cards allocate too much RAM to video to allow PT8 to run optimally.

What PT interface are you using?

And why not post in the i7 thread were all the action is...............The whole point of threads like the i7 thread is that they become the central repository of all i7 related information is stored. Posting outside of the threads like theese dilutes the information and generally clutters up the forum. Just sayin.

your hard drives are #1 culprit. 32mb cache drives are the way to go. 8mb cache drives are gonna KILL you. more than likely the cause of your errors.

2 - 1gb vid cards is gonna eat quite a bit of your available ram. will seriously limit what you can do and run.

002R

there is just 1 video card, not sure why it said 2.

The drives have a smaller cash but I used them with ptle 7.4 with no problems and very large sessions. I get the error even with 10-12 tracks with ptle8.

That has absolutely nothing to do with PT, which is another reason we are so pointing out, or I'll say Sunburst pointed out that u should be in the actual thread where the whole discussion is about i7 & then u will understand better...
