6031's finally fixed!
So I finally fixed my 6031's and figured I'd post to possibly help other users. But it ended up just being my own stupidity all this time. I had completely overlooked updating my 2nd video driver for my dual screen setup. Once I realized that today and upgraded to the latest driver my system has run about 12 hours perfectly at the lowest H/W buffer settings. Usually I'd have 6031s every 5-10 minutes.
I will say though that the DSP latency checker showed no interrupts in my system before I updated and I stand by that the 6031 is an overly sensitive error message and users should be given the option to turn it off. It's a sad day when a $10,000 rig is rendered completely useless because a driver being 1 update behind. That's bad business in this day and age and although it is now fixed for me, my computer was never experiencing interrupts, Pro Tools was causing the errors. I still feel this wasn't my computers fault and should be rectified for other users. All in all it's great to have my Pro Tools back running smoothly. |
