Default Found this jack plug loose inside my 11 Rack.

Hi.

Just got a second hand Eleven R in the mail today.
Noticed something lose inside it and quickly opened the too and found this price of a male jack plug.

Anyone know if this is a part of the unit? Or maybe it has been stuck in one of the female jacks until the shipping handling loosened it?

Afraid to use the unit since I don’t know if a part is missing..

Your photos are not attached.

Hard to know what you are looking at, but there is nothing inside an Eleven Rack that looks like a male 1/4” plug.

You really need to test if the Eleven Rack works OK and if not then return it.

Here is a picture of the Male Jack plug I found loose inside the Eleven Rack.

Darryl, thanks for your input so far.

Are the 1/4 sockets on the 11R open backed inside the unit? If so, it looks like a jack broke off and went through the other side of the socket.

I don’t own an 11R, but I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that it’s not supposed to have a random green 1/4 jack floating around inside.

Yep, that's really a 1/4" plug part and not part of an Eleven Rack...

It's the plastic insulator inner piece with tip and ring still attached that has come out of the hollow outer/ground part. I betcha they never noticed and later wondered where the tip of the connector went.

Most likely a piece off a test rig used at the factory. I would guess that you will find that it works perfectly as long as it wasn't powered up with that somewhere it shouldn't be(unlikely). It was probably stuck in one of the inputs and didn't fall out into the unit itself until after it was tested. Possibly during shipping , who knows. If you didn't see any obvious scorches !

Thanks guys. I decided to give the Eleven Rack a go, everything works great. Guess it was just a random plug that ended up inside the unit.

All Good.
