Works pretty good for me on an 003R+, though it does lose the driver from time to time and I have to switch from the legacy firewire driver to another and back in order for Windows to rediscover it. Have you tried all the alternate firewire drivers??

9.02 is working great with my 003R.

Did you install the updated 002R 003R driver for 9.02?

You go into Device Manager to 1394 Bus Host Controllers, Update Driver, and Browse my computer, choose Let Me Pick From A List and you'll be shown a list of available drivers - mine has 3. You might try each one and see if you have better luck.

If PT 9.x is approved for Win7 64bit this should not be necessary.
This is the way people were making 8.x work on Win7 machines.
And the reason given was constantly because "8.x is not Win7 approved".

I agree - but unfortunately for me it is necessary. In fact, for 8.x I actually used the default Windows 7 firewire driver. Not a big deal though.

With the TI firewire card (PCIe) and driver, I haven't seen this issue at all.
