Default Pro Tools 7.4 works directly with embeded OMF file?!

May be I miss something but I was really surprised that after opening an embeded OMF file (with checked "Refer to origial media where possible" option), Pro Tools didn't create Audio Files folder as it usually does. I know it can read (for years) OMF reference files a.k.a OMFI MediaFiles which has inside all the audio files from Avid.
But opening the session, saving it, reopening it and seeing NO Audio Files folder??? I thought Pro Tools cannot support compressed or embeded OMF files without translating it to regular mono files?
I guess with previous versions of Pro Tools (also 7.3) it was not possible. When I opened embeded OMF file with Digitranslator 2 the option "refer to original where possible" was dimmed. It was possible only when I had OMF ref file and OMFI MediaFiles as two files.
I am sorry if I missed something in my life

It was dimmed probably because the OMF was on a non audio drive (i.e. a CD ROM). That function was there since Digitranslator 1.

You can't use the pencil tool on those regions, you will have to duplicate (option-shift-3) the part of the region you want to modify.

You could always go to your project browser (option-o), select all your OMF audio regions then choose "copy and relink" in the toolbox menu.
