Any ADAT pre will work.

Just be aware that you will need a copy of Pro Tools M-Powered.

And don't get too caught up on LE. You can do just fine with M-powered. It's not nessecarily a downgrade from LE. M-powered Essentials is and is probably a waste of time, but the full M-power Pro Tools can usually get you in for cheaper than LE. That being said you can get an 003 on ebay for around $850, with a copy of protools 8.

The only real difference between M-P and LE are the interfaces and toolkits. I use both on a daily basis.

Unless you need the DV Toolkit or Complete Production Toolkit... M-Powered is pretty well exactly the same as LE.

Yeah, I almost said "they are the same except..." and then I couldn't come up with anything except Low Latency Monitoring.

Man, I had all but forgotten about LLM. It's a completely unnecessary feature if you have a half-decent computer, these days. I haven't used it in around a year now. Much nicer to just drop your buffer to 32 or 64 and even be able to toss a comp or verb on the track. :)
