Default I/O Setup bug

I have searched and cant find an answer so be patient if I missed it. When I import my I/O setup it comes up in a different order than what I saved. Anyone know why? I have tried it numerous times and cant figure it out.

Learning how to customize the IO is well worth the time. You can drag ins and outs to change the order. You can also rename ins and outs, delete paths, add sub-paths to stereo IO, etc.

Albee
I do know how to edit the setup, I rename, set up the order I want and then export it. The problem is when I import it, everything has changed. The output order changes, some are inactive and it looks nothing like what I saved two minutes ago.
Thanks
Nigel

The first thing I would try is;

1. Close PT & trash Preferences.
Windows: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VG3TxshRU7Q

Mac:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mj2fJHOz8GA

2. Reboot computer.

3. Open PT & go into I/O setup and hit default on In, Out & Bus tabs. Then rename In's/ Out's/ Buses and export settings overwriting earlier file, or create a new file by giving it a new name.

Hmmm....Well, go to the IO setup and select the tab for buses. Scroll down and look for anything in italics. If you find any, UNcheck them and see if it helps. There is a minor bug that started in 9(at least for me) and unchecking those paths on the bus page helps.
