Default RE:waves tune

Is anyone using waves tune in 10 and if so are you having a problem where the vocals are delayed??
I am having this problem and I don't know how to fix it.
Any help would be appreciated.

If you're trying to actually record with that plugin on, then there will be a delay because that plugin has a lot of latency. Any of the pitch correction plugins do, including Autotune and Melodyne. You're better off using them after the fact during mixing.

However, Autotune has now come out with Autotune Live, a separate plugin with no latency for those who want to record with it on.

Does delay compensation correct the shift? I try to keep it on, regardless if I'm hearing any problems.

Yes, it does, which is fine when you're mixing, but for trying to record with it on, the latency will be a problem.

I am tuning after the fact not recording and want to know how to stop the delay but I am just learning about all this so not sure how to compensate for the delay.

Make sure you have delay compensation turned on, and set to Long. If that doesn't take care of it, then set it to maximum.

Alternatively, you could use the Audiosuite version, and not mess with any of that.

Thanks nst7, that seem to have made a difference, waves support wanted me to nudge the file in time to resolve the issue.

Yes you can nudge your clip(s)... that's what I do.

Or you can export your clip(s) to Audio and nudge of course, and you won't have to grapple with this every time you open your project. I "think" they call this "printing?"

Waves Tune isn't perfect, but when you learn the work-arounds it becomes easier.

I'm having the same problem. What does it mean to export audio? How do you do that? Thanks

Export means sending a file or files to another place, go to yor Manuel and look it up,you will get a better understanding than what I am giving you.
