Pro Tools 2018.12 Disappears

Twice in the last couple weeks as I've been working Pro Tools suddenly just disappeared. Quits without a prompt of any sort! The first time with a new session made from scratch with maybe 6 tracks. I was between moves, so it had been sitting idle, not playing. When this happened my UAD 9.7.1 software got corrupted and required an uninstall/reinstall. The second time, last night I had a session with about 20 tracks, one of them record armed and was just about to do a punch on. I hit F12 and boom the app disappeared from the screen.

In between these two incidents I had two occasions when using VI's where suddenly all audio playback was severely distorted requiring a reboot.

Not sure of the culprit here because both the UAD 9.7.1 and Pro Tools 2018.12 were both fairly recent updates. The fact that the UAD software got corrupted the first time may indicate it is the problem but maybe not??

I don't think so because I am currently using the latest UAD software without any glitch with Pro Tools 2018.12

I most probably think your problem is related to some VI you have installed and is causing PT to crash ... I had the same issue and luckily found out the plugin crashing Pro Tools and installed an older version of this plugin which got me back to stable zone ...

You can share the VIs you have installed and I can probably tell .... I am a heavy VI user
