Roll back from 9.0.5 to 9.0.3 ?
How does one roll back to a previous version? I'm on 9.0.5 (OS X 10.6.8), and getting some funny behavior.
How does one roll back to 9.0.3 ? I have a clone of my HD with 9.0.3 on it, but I don't want to send the entire clone over, because I've added a bunch of things to the internal drive since that clone was made. Thanks ! |

Re: Roll back from 9.0.5 to 9.0.3 ?
Do I uninstall PT; then reinstall PT 9; and then update to 9.0.3?
Is there an easier way? Some way to "roll back"? |

Yes.
Doubtful. I don't know of one.

Re: Roll back from 9.0.5 to 9.0.3 ?
I do use Time Machine.
But, rather than restoring the whole drive back to the state is was in when 9.0.3 was still on there (about 2 weeks ago), I'd love to be able to just bring back PT 9.0.3, and leave "the rest of the drive" the same as it is now. I'm gathering that's not possible? True? Is there a way to restore only one app to it's former state like that, but not restore anything else? Do I have to know anything special before I: 1. Uninstall PT 9.0.3 2. Install PT 9 from the disk. 3. Update 9 to 9.0.3 from this site, and keep it that way until a more stable update is released. |

What's so unstable?
Maybe other things are going on.... However the uninstall, clear all prefs and install (is there 903 full in your account?) should work. |

I downloaded 9.03 and installed on top of 9.05. No problem at all.

Re: Roll back from 9.0.5 to 9.0.3 ?
GS-DK: That's VERY good to know. Very helpful.
DetroitT: For example, I never got any CPU errors with 9.0.3. When I went to "5", I started getting them all over the place. I also use an Apogee Mini-Me, and it worked flawlessly in "3". When I went to "5", I started to get stuttering, etc. Hardware and Playback Engine settings are "correct". Are there not various kinds of "5" issues posted on this Forum? My system is far from "new". PT 9.0.5, MBP 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 gigs RAM. Apogee Mini-Me interface. |

Re: Roll back from 9.0.5 to 9.0.3 ?
Yes, indeed. That's the first thing I do during times like this. Did it several times. Still, thanks for the suggestion.
Any other thoughts? |
