Default Fox and bird sounds?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for good, clean recordings of fox calls and wood pigeons.

Does anyone either have any that they'd consider exchanging or know of any libraries that have these?

I've looked through Soundsnap, Sounddogs and the Macaulay Library but got nowhere.

For the fox I've found these two on Sounddogs that are perfect in terms of performance but it seems from the preview they'll be low quality.

For the pigeon I've found this which is pretty much what I want but again not sure it'll be up to scratch quality wise.

Thanks for your help!

There was a post a while back with a link to a collection of bird sounds that had been collected by one of the major university's in the U.S. Perhaps some one remembers it.

That's the Macauly Library he mentioned.

Sound Dogs posted EXTREMELY data-compressed previews.

That's an interesting experiment but doesn't seem to work that well on my computer. Interesting though...

Thanks so much Richard, that's really great! Let me know if I can do anything for you?

Yep, that's the Macauly. It's a nice idea but the quality is generally not good enough for film work I find and it's pretty unclear how you licence the sounds or actually get them. Maybe that's just me?

As minister says, the Sound Dogs previews are extremely compressed mp3s, I bought the two fox recordings I posted and they were actually good quality and exactly the sound I wanted.
