Default Cedar DNS 2000 not working. Please help!

We are demoing a DNS2000 this week as we work on our pre-mix for a film. We have communication with the unit, it sees both channels and is locked to both our SPDIF and AES output. When we run audio through it, we can see that it is being acted upon in the bands but there isn't any audible difference in the audio. It's like the insert return isn't working. Can anyone shed some light on this and maybe walk us through exactly how you have it set up on your systems? We only have it for 4 days and would like to make the absolute most of it. I have tried switching out the v2 software for the V1.1 and we get the same result. We also get the same result when using it on an LE system running PT6.4. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Jason,
Mine is set up like this:
2 Mono Inserts on 15 & 16 of the 192 (labeled Cedar 1 & Cedar 2)
A Stereo AES Input path on AES 7&8, with Mono sub-paths. The AES Snake goes from AES 7&8 Out to the DNS and returns on AES 7&8 In

Is yours set up similar to this? The Input path was the one that was the "gotcha" for me

Good luck

Are you sure you have the digital insert, inserted on the channel you are processing?
The actual control plug-in can be anywhere.

Many thanks to the both of you. We have it sorted. We assumed that it was doing the routing for us. We were just missing the last step.

Thanks again!

Amazing box, isn't it?

We use it on all our TV shows and Films now.
Less ADR, and much better sounding shows.
